Lanny Everett Holcombe
Following graduation in 1962, Lanny and I joined the Army to serve our country. We were in basic training together at
Fort Dix, New Jersey and again at Fort Devens, Massachusetts for 23 weeks of training in the Army Security Agency. After
completing our training, we went separate ways: Lanny went to Japan and I was assigned to Turkey. We reconnected briefly
by email several years ago and I think he told me he had been a state trooper. Lanny had become quite a weight lifter
and also a body builder while serving in Japan and vowed he would win the "Mr. Maryland" body building championship
someday. I don't know if he reached that goal. I do know that Lanny achieved much in life and served his fellow man
admirably. I was proud to know him. We will all miss him.

Richard
Dennis Sizer
We sadly said goodbye to our classmate and friend in 2004. Richard Sizer was more than
simply a good, true friend to the many who loved him; he was also a valuable friend to many who did not know and would probably
never even meet him. As the force behind our Class of ’62 scholarship fund, Richard inspired us to put our money where our hearts
were and support a new generation of Dundalk High School kids by assisting them as they entered college. For this, as well as the
many other things he did to encourage loyalty and support for our hometown and especially our class, we give thanks and praise.
Thank you for all that you did for us dear friend, we will all miss you.
